Newcomers
to St. George’s!
Our Vision:
To seek to go on growing a worshipping community
- enthralled by the love of God
- empowered by the Holy Spirit
- reaching out to reveal God’s love
- to the people of Deal and beyond
Fulfilling our vision
At the heart of our vision is a desire to be a church that is ready and relevant for all the challenges and changes of the 21st Century with a heart for every generation.
Although we are a larger church, the key to our life here lies in our Clusters: mid-size communities of Christians meeting together in networks with a common vision for mission. Within Clusters, cells or small groups meet week by week. These cells of 6-12 people meet in homes for food, worship, applying the Bible to our everyday lives, prayer and fun! They are an opportunity for care, nurture and growth for each person. .As we meet together, our aim and desire is to be a people who are growing up in Christ, growing together in love and growing out in witness to others.
If you are new to the church and are wondering where to begin do look at our ‘Useful Contacts’ and feel free to phone to speak with us about the various ways to get connected into the life of the church. So welcome to you!
We also run Alpha Courses at least once each year for those who are enquiring about or just getting going in the Christian faith. You can get information you need in order to join a course by phoning Hope House office. In everything we do, as you will discover, we place a high emphasis on food, making friends, learning from the bible, worship and prayer. We very much look forward to having you with us.
